Russelia equisetiformis
Firecracker plant has arching, rush-like green stems hung with small red tubular flowers. Hummingbirds love it, and it spills nicely over walls and containers.

- Grows about 3–4 ft tall and wide
Care: Water moderately once established. It is tender in North Texas; treat it as an annual or protect it, as it may return after mild winters.
