Echinocereus engelmannii
Hedgehog Cactus, also called Engelmann's or Strawberry Hedgehog, is a small cactus native to the Southwest. Its short, spiny stems slowly build into a rounded clump that looks a bit like its namesake, ranging from a few stems to more than fifty. Each green stem can reach about a foot tall, making it a charming accent for rock gardens and desert beds.
