Nassella tenuissima
A soft, fine-textured grass with thread-thin green blades that turn blonde in summer and sway in the slightest breeze. It works well in rock gardens, xeriscapes and along walkways.
- Full sun to light shade
- Very drought tolerant once established
- Grows about 1–2 ft tall and wide
Care: Water sparingly after it settles in; avoid soggy soil. Comb out or trim old growth in late winter. It can reseed, so remove seed heads if you want to limit spread.
