Echinacea purpurea
A North American native perennial with purple-pink, daisy-like flowers around a raised orange center. It draws butterflies and bees in summer, and birds eat the seeds in fall.
- Full sun to part shade
- Drought tolerant; attracts pollinators
- Grows about 2–4 ft tall and 1–2 ft wide
Care: Water regularly the first season, then it handles dry spells. Leave some seed heads for birds, and cut back in late winter.
