Tulbaghia violacea
Society Garlic is a South African perennial with narrow, grassy leaves topped by little starry lavender-purple flower clusters through spring and summer. The leaves give off a mild garlic smell when crushed, which can help keep pests away from nearby plants. It is a tough, tidy edging plant for borders and water-wise beds.
