Rhododendron Southern Indica hybrids
Southern Indica azaleas are large, vigorous azaleas covered in spring flowers in lavender, pink, red, coral and white. They make a bold mass planting under trees and along shady borders.

- Grows about 5–8 ft tall and wide
- Varieties: Formosa, Mrs. G.G. Gerbing, George L. Taber, Pink Ruffle, Red Ruffles, Fashion, Coral Bells, Pleasant White
Care: They need acidic, well-drained beds amended with organic matter, since DFW soils are alkaline. Keep evenly moist and prune right after bloom.
