Panicum virgatum cultivars
Switchgrass is a native prairie grass with upright clumps and airy seed heads in late summer. Shenandoah turns burgundy-red from midsummer into fall; Heavy Metal has stiff, upright metallic-blue foliage that turns gold in fall.

- Grows about 3–5 ft tall and 2 ft wide
- Varieties: Shenandoah, Heavy Metal
Care: Grows in most soils, including clay. Cut back to a few inches above the ground in late winter before new growth starts.

What if a plant arrives damaged?
Report damaged or dead-on-arrival plants within 48 hours of delivery and we replace them. All sales are final once your signed quote is approved.
