Opuntia tuna
Thornless Prickly Pear has the classic paddle shape of a desert cactus, but without the spines, making it friendly near walkways and play areas. Large yellow flowers give way to the familiar cactus fruit. It is a hardy plant that can handle some cold when planted in well-drained soil, and it brings a true Southwest look to any yard.
- No spines, safe near paths
- Yellow blooms and colorful fruit
- Tough and drought tolerant
