Aspidistra elatior 'Tokyo Skies'
Cast iron plant is one of the toughest choices for deep shade, with upright, glossy evergreen leaves. 'Tokyo Skies' is a newer selection grown for its decorative foliage, brightening shady beds under trees and along north walls.
- Part shade to full shade
- Evergreen, tolerates dry shade
- Grows about 2 ft tall, slowly spreading
Care: Keep out of direct afternoon sun to avoid leaf scorch. Water during dry spells; hardy in North Texas, and tattered leaves can be cut off in late winter.
