Dryopteris erythrosora
A shade fern whose new fronds open in coppery red tones before turning glossy green. It holds its foliage through much of the winter, giving color to shady beds.

Care: Keep soil evenly moist and mulched. Cut back old fronds in late winter. Cold hardy in North Texas.
