Caladium × hortulanum
Caladiums are grown for their big heart-shaped leaves splashed with red, pink, white and green. They brighten shady beds, porches and containers from late spring until fall in North Texas.

- Grows about 12–24 in. tall
- Available in: Red, White, Pink
Care: Keep soil evenly moist and plant after the soil warms in May. They die back with cool weather and are usually treated as annuals here.
