Alternanthera ficoidea
Joseph's Coat is a foliage plant with leaves in mixes of red, burgundy, orange, yellow and green. It adds steady color to borders and containers all summer and can be clipped into a low edge.
- Full sun to part shade
- Colorful foliage, grown for leaves not flowers
- Grows about 6–12 in. tall
Care: Keep soil evenly moist and shear lightly to keep it tidy. It is frost-tender and treated as an annual in North Texas.
