Ruellia brittoniana 'Katie'
Katie Ruellia is a dwarf Mexican petunia that stays neat and low, usually under a foot tall, with rich purple, trumpet-shaped blossoms over green leaves. It blooms freely from spring into fall and handles heat and dry spells well. Use it to edge paths, fill gaps in beds, or brighten pots.
