Pentas lanceolata
A summer annual with clusters of star-shaped flowers in red, pink, lavender and white. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit it often, and it keeps blooming through the heat in beds and pots.

- Grows about 1–2 ft tall and wide
Care: Water regularly, especially in pots. Remove spent flower clusters to keep blooms coming. Not frost hardy in North Texas.
