Raleigh is a wide-bladed, medium-green St. Augustine known for its cold hardiness among St. Augustines. It forms a thick, soft lawn and handles some shade, making it a common choice for tree-lined DFW yards.

- Good cold tolerance for a St. Augustine
- Thick, carpet-like turf
Care: Mow at 2.5–4 in. and water deeply about once or twice a week in summer. Watch for chinch bugs in hot, dry spots.
