Iris pseudacorus
Yellow flag iris forms tall clumps of sword-shaped leaves with bright yellow flowers in spring. It grows in wet soil and shallow water, which makes it useful for ponds, rain gardens and boggy spots.
- Full sun to part shade
- Tolerates standing water
- Grows about 3–4 ft tall
Care: Keep moist or wet. It spreads readily, so plant it in contained ponds or pots and keep it out of natural waterways. Hardy in DFW.
